💌 Hello from The Nugget,

If you’ve been with us a while, you might remember Suzanna from Haven and Harvest Blooms — Molesey’s new local flower grower, who we featured when she was just getting things off the ground. She also gave away that beautiful Mother’s Day bouquet to a lucky Nugget reader.

Well, things are moving (and growing) nicely… because Suzanna has now launched her local subscription flower service.

For £90, you’ll get a hand-tied, seasonal bouquet delivered to your door once a month for three months, with the first delivery expected at the end of May. All flowers are grown locally and wrapped using sustainable materials.

The big bonus for Nugget readers? There’s a 10% discount code below for you to use.

A very easy way to keep the house looking cheerful — or a solid gift idea for a special someone. Delivery is available within 3 miles of KT8 0HS.

Just click the advert below to go straight to the website. Subscription numbers are limited, so don’t dilly dally!

Honey update: Molesey to the rescue 🍯🐝

Well… I asked, and you absolutely delivered.

After last week’s call-out from Ashley at The Good Bloom Co (local florist and fellow hayfever sufferer), my inbox has been buzzing with honey tips. Proof, if ever needed, that Molesey loves solving a problem together.

A couple of great leads for anyone on the hunt:

Becky pointed me towards Green & Lovely on Bridge Road, who stock “Surrey Honey” — and as it happens, I popped in last week and met Paul (the owner) and saw all the amazing goods they stock.

Gill got in touch to say they sell local honey at Hersham Village Market (from hives at St George’s Hill Golf Course), with a range of different varieties — and they’re there every Friday morning.

And best of all…

Jane emailed to say she actually has bees at the Mole apiary by the rec 👀

We’ve got a call lined up next week, so hopefully I can report back with the full inside scoop — from hive to jar.

Who knew Ashley’s suffering would bring Molesey together to solve this mystery! 🐝

🎉LOCAL BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Tudor and Co : a familiar face in Molesey (and a full-circle moment)

Seven years ago, we found ourselves house hunting in a place we’d barely heard of, Molesey.

The very first house we viewed was here, shown to us by Reno from Tudors. What followed was a whirlwind of over 20 viewings across different areas, only to end up right back where we started. That first house stuck, and once we’d sold our flat, we came back to it. Luckily, it was still available.

Reno helped us secure a great deal and then guided us through what turned into a fairly tricky process with the sellers. Calm, responsive, and always on hand when things got stressful. It’s not something you forget.

Fast forward to last October, and completely out of the blue, Reno got in touch about The Molesey Nugget. He had come across it, liked what I was building, and wanted to see if we could work together, without realising it was the same Jules from that house purchase all those years ago.

So it feels quite fitting that Tudors are now coming on board as our exclusive homes and property partner.

If you’ve spent any time in Molesey, you’ll likely know them already. They’re a long-established, independent estate agent based on the high street, with a team who genuinely live and breathe the area. Many have children who have grown up through the local schools. Reno himself brings around 30 years of experience selling homes in Molesey alone.

They currently support Molesey Juniors Football Club and the Molesey History Society, and are keen to build more local partnerships, so if you’re part of a group or initiative, it’s worth getting in touch.

Going forward, you’ll start to see Tudors featured more regularly, sharing properties, market insights, and practical advice on buying, selling, and everything in between. Importantly, it will be up-to-date, real-time information, not something written months ago.

If you’re thinking about moving, or just keeping an eye on the market, they’re a great local team to have on your radar.

🏊 Hurst Pool Update… (It’s a Bit of a Moving Target)

A few of you have been asking about the long-awaited Hurst Pool refurbishment — and, well… here’s where we are.

The works were due to start on 20th April, but have now been delayed due to “contractor issues” (mysterious, but apparently a thing).

At the moment, there’s no confirmed new start date, but one is being worked on — and I’ll share it as soon as it lands.

I have an issue……..

I’ve created a new page for regular /weekly activities, such as playgroups- Just CLICK HERE to view

I’ll leave you today with a chance to prepare… as next week’s edition will feature some top fitness tips from our resident duo David and Iryna Boost, who’ve kindly put together a video for you all to try at home

I’m off to do a bit of limbering up and dig out my favourite headband… very much channelling Jane Fonda. Whether the fitness levels match the outfit remains to be seen. 🏋️

Wish me luck.
