With only 57 days left until Christmas day, you’ve probably been having the usual October debates about which relatives to invite for Christmas……I can’t help you with that, but I can bring you the biggest news story this Christmas. Outrage has poured in faster than a mug of festive hot chocolate. Fans have declared it “a national disgrace,” while others are celebrating the end of what they call “the dentist’s delight.” In a move that’s rocked the nation (and rattled more than a few toffee-loving teeth), Cadbury has booted the Éclair out of its Miniature Heroes tubs to make room for the Flake.
When a hero comes along..... who do you choose?

LOCAL NEWS
🗳️ Surrey to Restructure Local Councils by 2027
The government has announced a major reorganisation of local government in Surrey. From April 2027, the county’s twelve existing councils will be replaced by two new unitary authorities—East Surrey and West Surrey—responsible for delivering all local services.
🧭 What’s Changing?
East Surrey will cover Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell, Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead, and Tandridge.
West Surrey will include Guildford, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath, Waverley, and Woking.
Surrey County Council will be split across both new authorities.
The new councils will oversee:
Waste collection and planning
Adult social care and children’s services
Highways and transport
🗓️ Key Dates
May 2026: Elections for the new councils
1 April 2027: New authorities officially take over
Until then, Elmbridge Borough Council and Surrey County Council will continue to operate as usual.
The government has also confirmed plans to repay £500m of Woking Borough Council’s debt in 2026–27, with further support under review.
Elmbridge Borough Council will host in-person events in the new year to share updates and answer resident questions about the transition.
🍕Artigiano Italian Restaurant🍕
Recently opened in West Molesey, opposite the Royal Oak Pub on Walton Road. Now offering an exceptional value lunch time menu. This is a great way to try somewhere new, and support a local business. It’s worth it for the calamari alone (my fave!)

I had the pleasure of meeting Zoe Venning-Pridham who runs Studio 366 in West Molesey a few weeks ago. It’s a beautiful holistic wellness space which offers sound therapy, meditation, yoga, pilates, and workshops to support mind, body, and spirit. She has an expert team of independent practitioners and they provide a calm, welcoming environment.
Once a month (6th Nov) Zoe offers a Community Sound Session for just £10 per person, and profits from these sessions are donated to the Molesey Churches Night Shelter charity so every ticket helps support both your wellbeing and a good cause.
I am popping down myself to give it a try, so look out for the new zen, relaxed me!
Fancy trying something new?
You’ll be in safe hands with Adele, a women’s health specialist, registered nurse, and the instructor of many different classes at Studio 366, including Barre lineage. This unique blend of movement, music, and feminine energy, strengthens, sculpts, and aligns your body while uplifting your mind. Awaken your body, improve posture, and rediscover confidence through mindful movement.
